| Every state in The United States requires it’s drivers to maintain a
certain minimum level of automobile insurance. All states require their

South Dakota’s average monthly insurance premiums is considerably lower
than the national averages. The main reason for this is that the
population is considerably lower than the majority of the states in the
nation. This means that the state produces less accidents than other
areas.
The majority of accidents reported in this state occur during the
winter months. This is because the state is subjected to numerous snow
storms throughout the winter. However the majority of these accidents
occur within the urban areas of the state. Flooding is also another
factor that determines the number of accidents in one year in the
